Educational Value
ViolinLab.com is a comprehensive online program for learning violin. It includes step-by-step video lessons organized into courses defined by skill level. Included in each level are sheet music downloads and accompaniment players for interactive practice. The entry level is for students who have had no experience whatsoever, but as students progress through each level they build skill and with a few years of dedication and regular practice can reach advanced levels of technique. Violin Lab also includes a Note Reading and Theory course for students who are new to reading music. Because of the detailed structure of the videos lessons, students are able to make significant improvement in a short span of time with self study, however, there is an optional membership level that includes personal feedback from the instructor. This model of feedback is through the exchange of videos. The students have their own private channel through which to submit video lessons. They are notified when the instructor has viewed and created a video response back to their channel.
