Educational Value

Designer Education is a service company that creates customized lesson plans and coordinates educational resources designed by certified, licensed teachers with the goal of creating spaces for families to learn together. First, we survey the caregivers and get to know them and the child we will serve. Next, a designer is chosen to match the skills and strengths of this family. Then the designer designs the resource lessons and materials specifically for this child. The box is sent to the child's home where the family teaches their child and engages in their learning. Tutoring support is available via Zoom for teaching or coaching support. This service is valuable because families are our children's first teachers, and they know their child longer than anyone in the child's life. This deep relationship can help a child feel more comfortable trying a challenge or exploring a new concept. Yet often adults feel uncomfortable with teaching their own children. We give the families tools to create successful learning spaces in the comfort of their own home. Because of our vast teacher bank, we offer teacher expertise in areas of disability and in areas of enrichment to build a caregiver's confidence, and create ownership of the learning that is possible.
