Educational Value
We offer individual private music lessons, which are beneficial in many ways. Students acquire ability to read music, play an instrument, perform and gain confidence. We value our student relationships as well, providing positive encouragement and mentorship. Lauri Bernet is affiliated with Encore Homeschool Fine Arts in Lawrence, as well (but operate via Joyful Noise, as all payments are given to me and I report through my business). Encore has no formal business organization but has been in existence for 20 years. I began teaching classes for Encore in fall 2021, and those classes are for homeschool students on Fridays. I currently teach JH/HS choir (Encore Chorale) K-6th Choir (Encore Singers) and Guitar Classes (1&2). I am hopeful to add more classes/edit these offerings from year to year. Participation in a music group or ensemble promotes team work, social benefits and growth as a musician as we learn to sing and play instruments together.
