Educational Value
Flint Hills Neuropsychology has reading interventionists trained in the Take Flight program, a structured literacy curriculum. This program has research showing it is an effective reading intervention for students with dyslexia, or students who struggle with reading and writing skills. Any child who is not reading at grade level would benefit from this program. We work with students from age 5-18, individually or in small groups, in person or virtually via zoom. During the school year, we have after-school time slots, and we also have a more intensive summer reading program. Students' progress is tracked with regular progress assessments, and we provide parents and classroom teachers feedback for a team approach.
